Scout ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, share, and protect your personal information when you use the Scout mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the "Platform"). By using the Platform, you consent to the terms of this Privacy Policy.

Our Platform does not currently respond to "Do Not Track" (DNT) signals from browsers. We will update this policy if our practices change.

We may update this Privacy Policy at any time. Material changes will be communicated via the Platform, email, or other communications at least 7 days before taking effect, where reasonably practicable. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy. We encourage you to review this Policy periodically.

Nevada residents have the right under Nevada SB 220 to opt out of the sale of certain personally identifiable information to third parties. We do not currently sell personal information as defined under Nevada law. However, if you are a Nevada resident and wish to submit a request relating to our compliance with Nevada law, or to register a do-not-sell preference for any future changes to our practices, you may contact us at support@scoutfinance.io with the subject line "Nevada Privacy Request."

We may collect approximate location data derived from your IP address in order to provide region-appropriate content, comply with jurisdictional restrictions, detect fraud, and improve Platform performance. We do not collect precise GPS-level location data unless you explicitly grant permission through your device settings. IP-based location data is treated as personal information and processed in accordance with this Privacy Policy. You may limit location-based data collection by using a VPN or adjusting your device and browser settings; however, some Platform features may be affected. Location data is not sold or shared with third parties for advertising purposes.

16. Push Notifications

We may send you push notifications through the Scout mobile application to inform you of Platform activity, account updates, promotions, and other relevant information. Push notification data, including your device token and notification preferences, is collected and used solely to deliver these communications and is not shared with third parties for advertising purposes. You can manage or disable push notifications at any time through your device's notification settings (iOS: Settings > Notifications > Scout; Android: Settings > Apps > Scout > Notifications). Disabling push notifications will not affect your ability to use the Platform, but you may miss important account-related updates.

17. California "Shine the Light" (Civil Code § 1798.83)

California residents may request, under California Civil Code Section 1798.83 (the "Shine the Light" law), information about whether we have disclosed personal information to any third parties for their direct marketing purposes during the preceding calendar year. We do not share personal information with third parties for their own direct marketing purposes without your consent.
